The best little AC company in Texas installs a new unit the same day

Family slept cool again. Other estimates ran 2–3 times higher.

From our Google reviews · July 2026 · 5.0★ across 50+ reviews

“Joey at Cool Choice was fantastic! He installed our new AC unit on the same day I called, saving my family from another sleepless night in TX summer heat.”

“And Cool Choice was the only company that offered a very fair price. Estimates from other companies were 2-3 times higher. Joey explained everything and his work was meticulous.”

It's not a one-off. A month earlier, another Austin family said Joey “personally fit us into his schedule on short notice” and got their AC running while he went for the right part the same day.

From running the floor at Austin's restaurants to a master HVAC license

Before Cool Choice, Joey Trevino was a service manager for some iconic Austin restaurants and pubs. He brought that hospitality with him when he earned his HVAC degree and became the master licensed contractor behind Cool Choice.

Fourteen years later we're still family-owned, still small and still the company Austin people in the know call. Between Joey and our service manager there are more than 40 years of combined experience. We don't cut corners, we don't compromise on safety, and we'll never sell you something you don't want or need.

Neighbors on Nextdoor voted us a Neighborhood Favorite in 2021 and 2022, and we're an authorized vendor for local rebate programs.

Why we're your best call

Letters from our neighbors, taken from reviews and local forums

they let me hang out and watch as they tested every component of the AC unit until they found the broken part. They weren't just trying to upsell me a whole new unit.

An Austin homeowner, 2025

there was an issue with one of the bedrooms not cooling correctly and they kept coming back until the issue was resolved. I would recommend this company 10/10 times.

A family with a new unit, June 2026

they gave me a detailed write-up of what they did and potential issues that might occur in the future with our old system.
